-Charro Jerry Diaz: Skilled horseman, bull riding, horse and steer roping, and trick roping
- Ag Magic Show: Uses Magic to teach children about modern agriculture
-The DIRT: Master gardeners and florists hold demonstrations and answer questions
-Choo Choo Bob's Train Show: Exhibit celebrating trains

Minnesota State Fair Breaking Attendance Records

On the opening day last Thursday, 119,000 people were said to have attended the great Minnesota get together. On the second day, last Friday, 132,738 people visited the Minnesota State Fair breaking last year's mark of 124, 991. August has arrived, 2010 Minnesota State Fair only weeks away!

August is here and that means that the 2010 Minnesota State Fair is only a few weeks away! Starting on August 26th, the Minnesota State Fair runs through September 6th. The Minnesota State Fair is notorious for having some of the best attendance numbers in all of the United States. The Minnesota State Fair is located at the State Fair Grounds in St. Paul next to Roseville. The first Minnesota State Fair was held in 1859 and the first time it was held at the current location was in 1885. Last year 1,790,497 people attended the fair. It remains one of the most famous state fairs in the U.S.

Tim McGraw at Minnesota State Fair

Country Music Sensation Tim McGraw Tim McGraw has just been added to the Minnesota State Fair lineup this year. He'll be set to perform on August 28th with Julianne Hough opening for him. Tim McGraw last played in Minnesota in 2007, when he and wife Faith Hill performed together. Tim McGraw is one of the most popular and successful country music singers to date, winning 3 Grammys, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards, 10 American Music Awards, and 3 People's Choice Awards. Tim McGraw has also participated in acting with roles in The Blindside, Friday Night Lights, and Four Christmases.

Minnesota State Fair Admission Prices

Starting on August 26th, the State Fair will be returning to Minnesota. Before you start thinking about the food, rides, and concerts, here's just a little reminder for the admission prices.
Regular Admission:
-For adults ages 13-64, the fee is $11
-For seniors 65+, the fee is $9
-For kids 5-12, the fee is $8
-For children (under 5), it's FREE
Over the 11 day period, the Fair will offer some days with discounts. On August 26th, it will be "Thrifty Thursday" with adult admission priced at $9. There will be all day discounts on Midway and Kidway rides, games, and concessions. On August 30th, it will be Senior and Kids day. Both will be a $6 entrance fee. On August 31st, it will be Ticket Deal Tuesday with adults only $9. On September 1st, it is Read and Ride Wednesday, where you show a library card for a $9 adult fee, and $6 for seniors or kids. September 2nd will be Senior Day, followed by Kids Day on September 6th charging $6.
